This part of the website contains only those instruments made exclusively by Financial Ombudsman Service Limited (FOS Ltd), exercising its rule-making powers under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The instruments relate to the voluntary jurisdiction rules and related guidance made by FOS Ltd under section 227 of the Act (Voluntary jurisdiction) and Parts II and IV of Schedule 17 to the Act (The Ombudsman Scheme). Rules made by FOS Ltd require the approval of the FSA.
